Engagement Lead for Climate Change and Nature

Emily is the Engagement Lead for Climate Change and Nature, working within the Innovation & Practice Team. She designs and leads major climate and environment projects with a focus on engaging citizens in decision making.

Emily is currently leading our work on Thriving Places, supporting 25 local councils with visioning and citizen engagement on net zero. This includes designing, planning and facilitating deliberative processes, including the Blackpool Community Conversation on climate adaptation. She also led the Hackney Citizens' Climate Jury on preparing for heatwaves.

Emily has a background in service design and user research, and has spent her career working in and alongside local government. Before joining Involve, Emily was Climate Engagement Lead at Hammersmith & Fulham Council, designing and managing a programme of public engagement projects to decarbonise the borough. In previous roles at FutureGov (now TPXimpact). Emily led the redesign of Hackney Council’s Benefits & Housing Needs Service.

Outside of work you can find Emily campaigning for climate justice and volunteering at her local community garden.
