As an aviation worker, what do you think are the main challenges and opportunities for reducing the climate impact of aviation in the next 15 years?

The climate crisis poses huge challenges to every aspect of our society and economy. The legal commitments of the aviation industry means it will face unprecedented transformation over the coming decade. Workers in emissions-intensive industries such as aviation, are most at risk from poorly-planned transitions.

By signing up to participate in Bristol's first deliberative workshop on the future of aviation, you can help centre workers’ voices in this transition. We will use the results to demonstrate to trade unions, and other relevant bodies (government, corporations, institutions) that decarbonisation is a complex subject matter that requires alternative approaches to inform decision-making.

Plus we are offering a £50 thank you for taking part and will cover reasonable travel costs.

During the workshop you will have an opportunity to:

  • Connect with other people working in the aviation industry
  • Hear from a broad range of speakers
  • Deliberate about the challenges and opportunities facing the industry
  • Help shape a future nation-wide workers' assembly

When and where?

Date: Friday 10th November 2023

Time: 6pm - 9pm

Location: Bristol Aerospace Museum (John James Theatre)
