Linnéa Erasmie-Jones

Project Administrator

Linnéa is a project administrator, working in the Innovation and Practice team. She joined Involve as an intern in July 2023 and has since supported the delivery of various projects including Waltham Forest Citizens' Assembly and West Midlands Greener Together Citizens' Panel and Hackney Citizens' Jury, as well as digital contents and programme support for UKRI's Sciencewise programme.

Before joining Involve, Linnéa completed a BA in Politics with International Relations at the University of York, UK with an Erasmus exhange at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. Spending time in Spain inspired the topic of her dissertation which investigated the link between the Spanish transition to democracy and rise of the Spanish far-right. The paper, which combined discourse analysis with first-hand interviews with citizens of Madrid, focused on authoritarian nostalgia, ‘the politics of forgetting’ and police power and violence.

At university, Linnéa co-founded All Should Eat, a student-led charity that collaborates with local food banks, student societies and university colleges to help alleviate food poverty in York.

Linnéa grew up in Helsingborg, Sweden and has previously worked as a host at the Jorvik Viking Centre where she taught visitors about York’s history and archaeology (while dressed as a Viking, of course). In her free time she enjoys travelling, dancing and trying new foods.
