Ellie joined Involve in June 2024 as Project Administrator, supporting The Democracy Network and The School for Everyday Democracy.
With a deep commitment to social justice and a wealth of experience working in the Public Sector, one of her most cherished roles was playing a key part in the Covid-19 response with Cornwall's Public Health team. Ellie worked as the Personal Assistant to the Director and Assistant Director of Public Health and collaborated with key stakeholders, such as the cabinet office through G7, local councillors, MPs and other multidisciplinary team leads. She then transitioned into a project support role for the Time2Move Holiday Activities and Food Programme. Driven by her own lived experience, Ellie ensured children on free school meals had access to food and activities during school holidays, and led key elements of the programme, including signposting and food provision.
With a background in administrative and project support, strategic planning, sustainable funding, and stakeholder engagement, Ellie hopes to continue to be a part of driving positive change by helping build more inclusive and transparent forums within communities. Passionate about collaboration with third sector parties, she will be starting her role as Trustee for the Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum in Summer 2024.
Living in Cornwall, Ellie enjoys spending time outdoors, eating pasties, looking for whales, dolphins and any other kind of beautiful nature she can find!
