Senior Project Officer

Dom is a Senior Project Officer at Involve who joined Involve in 2017 and whose work spans both the Innovation and Practice and Capacity Building and Standards teams. 

Dom’s work involves managing projects, designing and facilitating deliberative engagement processes and conducting mixed method research. He also delivers training for organisations on how to plan, design and deliver effective and meaningful public engagement work. He is currently working on developing meaningful assessment of public engagement done in health systems with CQC, supporting place based work towards Net Zero through the Innovate UK funded Thriving Places programme and working with Camden Council on a range of deliberative public engagement. 

He has worked with many local authorities in England to deliver citizens’ assemblies and juries in SouthamptonHounslow and Devon, as well as table facilitating at many different citizens' assemblies including Climate Assembly UK. He has also provided training and mentoring to numerous local authorities through the Local Climate Engagement programme and he lead on the delivery of deliberative panels for District Network Operators to inform their planning of energy, particularly in net zero futures. 

Outside of his work on public engagement around climate decision-making, he has worked on the Sciencewise programme as well as working with people to explore their lived experience of in-work poverty to develop solutions with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation on this. Dom is based in Brighton and when he isn't at work you can find him out running or watching his beloved football team.
