Charlotte is a Project Officer at Involve, joining the team as part of the 2020/2021 Charityworks graduate scheme in November 2021. In her role, she is involved in a variety of projects and supports the communications work of the organisation.

Charlotte is a graduate in International Development from the University of Sussex and recently completed her MA Social Anthropology of Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). As part of her MA dissertation, she focused on the layered lives of Filipino domestic workers in Rome, Italy. Given her interest in a people-centered approach to community development and positive social change, Charlotte focused on voicing their concerns and reporting lived experiences as narrated by the workers themselves. She, therefore, intends to continue centering individuals and communities in her work at Involve.

Charlotte has previously worked with the African Union and the European Network for Migrant Women. In the United Kingdom, she was involved in social mobility programmes, mental health and community development initiatives at the University of Sussex. Thanks to this varied professional and academic experience, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to the projects she works on. Charlotte is also interested in blogging and writing and will be contributing to Involve’s online content.
