Amna is Campaigns & Advocacy Lead for The Democracy Network.
The Democracy Network is a network of people and organisations working on issues of power, democracy and voice in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our aim is to strengthen the collective power, influence and voice of those that care about democracy, encourage collaboration, and ultimately work towards a society where power is more equally shared. The Democracy Network is a project run by Involve.
Prior to joining Involve, Amna worked for over fifteen years in government affairs, communications, campaign building and strategy development for NGOs and companies across the health sector in the UK and internationally. In 2019, she was awarded a scholarship to the Harvard Kennedy School. She now has a masters’ in public administration from Harvard, with a focus on racial justice, leadership and social entrepreneurship.
